Look Post |Nubian Collection

If there is one thing that I have learned in the past year, it is the importance of social media. Connections and collaborations are easily made through these digital spaces that we are active on daily.

Lesedi and I were found on Instagram by TSTMKRS Africa and scored our first trip to Ghana last year and most recently an artisan lifestyle brand inspired by the bohemian African culture based in Mozambique expressed how much they loved my page. Being an “influencer” in South Africa where you aren’t paid thousands and thousands of dollars for sponsored posts, we are still able to run authentic Instagram pages. We have the creative freedom to curate these spaces to our own personal taste, showcasing: art, our loved ones, trips around our country and our personal style without our pages looking too brand orientated.

I bought a lot of bright coloured printed material from Ghana with the hopes of creating magical pieces from the wax fabric. While I sit and brain storm cute two piece outfits, I thought I would share the lovely pieces I received from the wonderful people at Nubian Collection. I am totally obsessed and definitely want to add more prints and colour to my  daily wardrobe this year. I love the bold prints and colours of the Okono dress and the sports luxe design incorporated in the Ndamba jumpsuit. I can’t wait to show off new prints, colours and a brighter side to me. New Year, who dis? LOL!

Happy New Year, Everyone!
