Rubybox Beauty Night Out

Two Friday’s ago, myself and Twiggy attended the Rubybox Beauty Night Out thanks to the lovely Talya Goldberg. It was a night of much needed pampering after a long week of crazy varsity deadlines.

For those of you not in the know, Rubybox was founded in 2011 by Margaux Knuppe and Sylvia Gruber. The concept is pretty awesome. For only R169/month, you receive a beauty box filled with a range of sample size beauty products, personalised to your beauty needs. This let’s you discover the latest and best beauty products available which you can buy from their online store. They stock a curated selection of exclusive international brands, current favourites of selected beauty editors and some home-grown heroes.Rubybox has grown tremendously since it’s inception and is arguably SA’s largest online beauty community due to it’s loyal following of Rubies. I was really excited to meet some of the lovely ladies behind Rubybox because I have been quite a fan of the brand for a while.

We started off by putting together our own beauty boxes then headed to the Stila stall for some make-up makeovers. Twiggy and I both tend to be lipstick rather than gloss girls- scary teenage memories- but we both fell in love with Stila’s Lipglaze. The smell reminded me of a yummy summery cocktail.

The pampering continued courtesy of Mangwanani African Spa where we enjoyed some relaxing massages and ended off the evening with some Sally Hansen
Mani’s. Twiggy’s lucky streak continued as she ended up walking away with a pretty Miglio bracelet. As always, I had a lovely time with my partner in crime and definitely would recommend it for a fun, girly night out.
