I’m not big on Winter but there is no denying that Winter fashion can be truly amazing if you take the time to really get into it. While many opt for really dark colours and muted hues for their daily looks, I really wanted to remain true to my everyday aesthetic and introduce colour into my winter wardrobe. I partnered with my faves, SPREE, to put together a few looks that will hopefully inspire a few of you to jump out of your comfort zone and explore colour this winter.
I styled myself in three looks focusing on bright colours, textures and paying homage to a local designer who is absolutely killing it right now. See my looks below and click on the links to shop directly from my site! Enjoy!
Florals In Winter
I’m absolutely obsessed with wearing dresses with any kind of cute booties lately. This pink floral dress paired with the trending silver booties that all of your fave fashion bloggers own was a show stopper at our Mother’s Day brunch a few weeks ago. Any outfit that my mom loves, I KNOW I have crushed it! LOL! Swap the detailed socks for embellished/coloured stockings on chillier days and you have a winner!

Do It Like The Locals
Local fashion bloggers are always getting dragged for not wearing or supporting enough local brands. In all honesty, sometimes I feel that it is a matter of access and being able to even afford the pieces. Fortunately, online retailers like SPREE support local designers making it easier to purchase these amazing pieces so that are readily available straight from the runway. If you feel that the price range might be a little out of your budget, buy one stand out piece that you can mix and match with the rest of the clothes in your closet.
“THEBE MAGUGU is a contemporary South African fashion brand, constantly seeking new ways of presenting women with clothing that both complies with, and enhances the everyday. Together with the designer’s pillar values of quality; novelty and culture, design that is sleek and forward-looking intersects with motifs from our continent’s storied past, providing multi-faceted clothes as valuable as their woman.”
The colours and textures of this yellow corduroy two piece suit by Thebe Magugu will definitely have you looking and feeling like a million bucks and of course, keep you warm during the chilly months that we are currently experiencing.

Little Red
This popular Autumn/Winter trend creeps into our wardrobes every year. This year we saw it pop up on all of the blazers in a fawn and black variation. I loved that this skirt was both on trend but different because of the pop of colour!
