LITTLE GIG FESTIVAL LOOKS

I’m always the first to say that I personally do not identify as a Fashion Blogger but rather as a Personal Style blogger. The looks that I put together on a daily basis and those for events are unique to my own preference and not necessarily what’s trending the fashion magazines or the runway. I wear what’s comfortable, what makes me standout and I’m absolutely not one to shy away from colour.

With all of my looks, I really wanted to look as bright and as vibrant as my personality, and actually also highlighting  the three key colours of the season: Yellow, Red & Ultra Violet. Peep my 3 (very on trend for a change) looks that I brought to this year’s Little Gig Festival that took place this past weekend on Wiesenhof Farm.

P.S please excuse my super dusty shoes in all of the images below. All items can be purchased on Spree!

Tequila Sunrise: Day Time Look

I’ve never been a fan of the embroidery print trend, I always thought that it looked bit tacky to have five roses running down the side of ones jeans but when I saw this yellow, mini dress with balloon sleeves, I had to get it. The length was perfect and the colour on trend; yellow is one of the few colours to look out for this season according to major fashion blogs. Very closely associated with festival fashion is fridge, a trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere in 2018. I brought in this forever trend in the form of a pair of grey fridge earrings and a pouch bag.  I think I did a pretty good job at doing summer festival fashion without looking to cheesy.

Banana mania: Sunset Look

Swimwear has somehow become my thing. I’ve mentioned my weight gain a million times but somehow even with the extra kilos, I find myself feeling sexier in a two piece swimsuit. It was REALLY hot and dry on the day of the festival and finding a shady place to sit was a bit difficult so I had no other choice but to strip down. I am quite busty and finding bikini tops that are comfortable and fit well can be a bit tricky so I absolutely love the halter neck top of this banana print bikini. It gave me the right kind of support and the best cleavage! I don’t think my boobs have looked this good in a swimsuit. The bottoms are also super cute and high-waisted which is perfect for someone who may feel a little self-conscious about their tummy area i.e me. This is the most comfortable bikini I’ve ever worn, hands down.

Red, Red Wine: Night Time Look

There is a current craze over tomato red everything! I’ve seen influencers all over the internet wearing it head to toe and some mixing it in with their everyday wear. I’ve been in love with the colour for a while now but haven’t been able to find unique pieces in the colour until now. I changed into this red maxi dress just after sunset, it did get super chilly so this dress was perfect as it covered up most of my body but left a little skin exposed for the right amount of night-time sexiness. Maxi dresses make for a good transitional piece and can be worn in both Winter and Summer and can be easily styled with boots, sneakers or sandals! I opted for a pair of jewel toned slip ones for the extra bold look.

Butterfly Effect: The Morning After

Named colour of the year by Pantone, Ultra Violet is a colour that we have seen slowly creeping up all over our Instagram feed and on the international runways. If I’m keeping it 100, I picked this dress purely based on the butterfly print. I am completely influenced by new mommy & daddy Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s love for the mystical creatures. This print gave me ultimate Spring vibes without being super predictable and going for florals instead. I paired this look with a pair of silver, chunky boots; I hear silver shoes are a vibe now too so I was very on trend with this entire look, very unlike me. I really do regret not wearing this outfit on the first day but it was so hot that I actually had to go for the yellow mini instead.
