Being a blogger comes with many perks, receiving special deliveries and goodie bags to name a few, however, most blogger drops can leave one feeling very bored and uninspired. Lately that has not been the case, I just received one for the best drops that got ME to drop my devices as I suddenly felt the urge to get creative!
The Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair, formerly known as the FoodWineDesign Fair will be making its return to Hyde Park Corner Rooftop from 9 – 11 October. This boutique lifestyle event that has been going strong for six years combines food, wine and design all in one space allowing the country’s top artisanal producers to showcase their work.
“The name change symbolises the transformations that have taken place within the Fair, and within the industries themselves over the past few years,” says Fair curator Roberta Thatcher.
I am definitely looking forward to the two new sections on the rooftop: the open-air Bloody Mary lounge and the festive beer garden. Perfect spaces to network or unwind with your loved ones.
The Fair covers 2 000sqm of the rooftop of Hyde Park Corner with a record of 120 exhibitors showcasing their work throughout the weekend. Exhibitors include Missibaba, Zana Products, 1701 Nougat, Port2Port Wines, Leafy Greens and Leg Studios and on the food side, guests can look out for the return of the popular Chefs in the City in the Sanlam Lounge
With the Fair being the first event of its kind to combine elements from food, wine and design industries, Sanlam believes that the positive change and shift in direction will result in the growth of even more proudly South African entrepreneurs who bring the artisanal, bespoke and niche to the consumer.
Pre-sale tickets are available online via Webtickets for R90 each or at the door for R110 (kids under 12 enter free). Please note there will be a free Park and Ride from Hyde Park High School.
