Mauritius Style Diary

I totally over-packed for my recent trip to Mauritius but I have no regrets, you can never have too many options. I didn’t know whether I would be changing three times a day or only once so I packed all of my cutest looks.

Turns out I only needed one look a day and about 3 different swimsuits. As mentioned in my previous post about my trip here, it is super humid and hot so selecting outfits to pack to Mauritius is actually super easy. Less is more and light materials FTW! Anyways take a peep at my style diary below that also featured on IOL, take a peep here

THE BODYCON

A baby blue bodycon dress and white sneakers, red cat eye sunglasses. I opted for this very simple and comfortable look as it was my first day on the island and I didn’t know what to expect in terms of weather, activities and overall vibes of how people dress on the island.

Sunglasses, The Fix

Bodycon dress, LEGiT

Sneakers, FILA

THE SWIMSUIT

Since my self-conscious ass was a little unprepared to be in a swimsuit on the beach, I opted for a high-waisted bikini or full swimsuit on beach days. The bikini was super flattering and hid the little bits that I am a little shy about (my tum tum) and the full swimsuit covered up everything and left my best parts exposed. YAAAAS!

Swimsuit, Billabong

Slides, Fenty x Puma

THE VINYL SKIRT

Day two was spent sight-seeing, waterfalls, the seven colours and botanical gardens. Sneakers were definitely necessary with all the walking that took place. I could resist and pair them with a bright orange vinyl skirt, just to stay on trend. I am so obsessed with all things vinyl, PVC, glossy and plastic right now, I might do a whole ‘trending now’ piece showcasing other PVC statement pieces.

Sunglasses, Superbalist
White tee, H&M
Vinyl skirt, MRP
Socks, Factorie
Sneakers, Vans

THE JUMPSUIT

Stripped linen jumpsuit and espadrilles for my catamaran cruise outfit, I wanted to go for something light but that would ensure that I don’t get a bad sunburn. Although the sun did burn me right through the jumpsuit, I felt light throughout the boat ride and changed into a full, stripped swimsuit to bake even further. I had paired this look with a pair of espadrilles, however, no shoes were allowed on the boat.

Jumpsuit, LEGiT

Hoop earrings, SPREE

Necklace, H&M
