‘The Great British Summer’ | Craig Port

Craig Port

My knowledge of Menswear is very superficial, I don’t know much about it but I do notice when I see a well-groomed man who appears to have put in effort into his outfit. Fashion Week this week fell on a very busy weekend for me (socially) so I wasn’t as invested as I wanted to be and missed the Craig Port show. Luckily for me,  the good people at Girl About Town sent me the beautiful visuals of the show.  I am a huge fan of Craig Port and really loved his previous collection that had a lot of leather and  so I was looking forward to seeing what he would have in store for us with his S/S ‘ 15 Collection.

Thoughts on the collection

  • Pastels are definitely a Spring/Summer time trend that doesn’t seem to be leaving us any time soon however pastel suits will definitely take some getting used to. This trend isn’t new in the Western fashion scene but is definitely a first here in SA.
  • The camo that has been incorporated with the pastels is also a new and very innovative trend that the Craig Port introduced at Fashion Week, I think it works wonderfully and isn’t as hard and as informal as the usual camo that we are used to.
  • Craig Port cannot do wrong when it comes to his women’s range, I really love matchy, solid pastel two-pieces with the shell tops, the  light fabrics and the flirty full skirts – each look is  sexy but tasteful.

I love this collection! the silhouettes are a bit daring, but the subdued pastels add a sort of ethereal sophistication. great post! <3

I completely agree. I thought the pastels in the men’s collection were far more daring but isn’t that what fashion is all about? Taking risks! So glad you love the post! xo
