Every woman carries a few make-up essentials in their handbag for that quick touch up in-between meetings, lunches and errands. As mentioned in my previous post, read it here, I only started filling #mybeautybag with good quality make-up very recently. Lipstick and powder are literally the only two essentials that I absolutely have to have in my beauty bag or else my world might as well come crashing down come 3pm after my last meeting, before a movie date.
I use close to 10 products to achieve a perfect daily face that shows that I have actually put in effort to look presentable but every woman is different. Some women carry their entire make-up bag in their handbags while others, like me, will carry one or two products. Everyone’s beauty bag says a thing or two about the woman that they are. I would like to believe that mine shows that I am a very simple kinda gal.
Simplicity for me means everything, from the way I dress to my skin and my make-up routine. Once you have a solid skin regime and start understanding your face and how to use your make-up properly, you genuinely want to try out and buy new products all the time. I always text me sister (who is actually more of the make-up guru than I am), to find out what the latest make- up trends are and which products she’s absolutely obsessed with so that I can purchase and try them out. I am not one to go to the mall to ask for advice as to which make-up products to use because in most cases, I leave the shop with way more than what I wanted, spending waaaaay to much money that I had anticipated.
